Hi, LiveJournal. Things are good. Things are fucking crazy, but good. I think they're good, at least.

The past week has been nice. I saw norgus_beesh two weekends ago (at least I think it was then). I slogged through 4 days at work, during which time I developed a mild cold. I then took Friday off and spent a long weekend in South Florida visiting myq and other relatives. I enjoyed the amazing weather, and listening to people complain about how COLD the mid-60s temperature was. (It may have even dropped to the low 50s in the middle of the night one night!) I ate in my favorite restaurant ever. And then I flew back way too early Monday morning, and went straight from the airport to work.

So far this week...I can't even think details. Too crazy. It involved an emergency call to the gas company (everything's fine), work being as nuts as work ever is (if not setting new records), and a bunch of other stuff. I don't know how I'm going to make it through the rest of the month, but at least everything's (in theory) good-busy rather than bad-busy.

I think The Decemberists have replaced Pink Floyd as my comfort music. Or maybe I just need to be comforted more in a Colin Meloy way tonight. It's not a bad way to be comforted, really. And I will hang my head, hang my head low...
