"Soundtrack Of My Life" meme

(disclaimer: For those of you who don't know, I tend not to listen to words in music. The voice is just another instrument to me. So please don't read too much into the lyrics of these choices.)

Name three songs that make you smile (or, you know, laugh hysterically):
They Might Be Giants: Older
Pearl Jam: Breath
They Might Be Giants: Fingertips

Name three songs that make you cry:
Kris Kristofferson: Here Comes That Rainbow Again
Live: Lightning Crashes
Meat Loaf: Rock and Roll Dreams Cone Through

Name three songs that make you want to dance:
Moxy Fruvous: King of Spain
They Might Be Giants: Till My Head Falls Off
anything klezmer, if I'm at a bar mitzvah or something

Name three songs that make you want to sing them at the top of your lungs:
Pearl Jam: Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town (hello!)
Janis Joplin: Piece of My Heart
Live: Rattlesnake

Name three songs that make you think about your childhood:
Trout Fishing in America: Proper Cup of Coffee
Tom Lehrer: Pollution
the alphabet song (duh)

Name three songs that make you think about your teenage years:
Jewel: You Were Meant for Me
Queen: Under Pressure
Pink Floyd: Mother

Name three songs that make you think about someone special:
Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here (I am the king of all cliches)
Bette Midler (I suppose): The Rose
Pink Floyd: Dogs

Name three songs that make you think about yourself now:
The Decemberists: California One / Youth and Beauty Brigade
Pearl Jam: Breath (okay, I'm reusing it, but it's that good of a song)
R.E.M.: Find the River

I think the point of this meme is to provide MP3s of all the songs. But I'm too lazy to do that now. Look for a possible Friends Only post tomorrow which, uh, discusses in a totally legal manner the concept of such MP3 sharing.

And yeah, I could've doubled any of those lists easily. And I'm sure that if I sat here for another hour, I'd replace half of those songs with "better" choices. But no sense second-guessing a meme. Update Journal!
